This page explains what the health information on this website is for and what this website can and cannot do. It describes what we publish and how to use it, and it points you to the right place when you need advice about your own health.
This website has two kinds of content. The first describes the services offered at Liverpool Plaza Discount Chemist, such as Home Medicines Reviews, MedsChecks, vaccinations, wound care, compounding, dose administration aids and opioid substitution support.
The second is a blog of general health articles on subjects like cold and flu season, cholesterol, sleep, allergies and children's medicines.
The health articles on this website are written for a general audience. They are not written about you, they do not take account of your medical history, your other medicines, your allergies or your circumstances, and nobody at the pharmacy has assessed you before they were published.
Speak to your pharmacist, your GP or another qualified health professional about your own situation before acting on anything you read here.
This website is a source of information only. It is not a clinical service. Through this website you cannot:
All of those happen in the pharmacy, or by phoning or emailing us.
Do not use this website in an emergency. If someone is seriously unwell or injured, call 000.
For urgent poisoning advice, call the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26, at any hour.
For health advice over the phone, healthdirect is available on 1800 022 222.
Some pages link to other organisations, including Healthdirect, NPS MedicineWise and the RACGP. Those websites are run by other people. We do not control what they publish and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the site it points to.
Articles on this website are accurate as at the date they were published. Health advice, medicine availability, subsidy arrangements and immunisation schedules all change. An older article may no longer reflect current guidance, and we do not undertake to revise every article each time something changes.
If something on this website matters to a decision you are making about your health, check it with us or with your doctor rather than relying on the page.
Tell us and we will look at it.
If you think something published on this website is inaccurate, out of date or unclear, contact the pharmacy using the details below. It is better checked than relied on.
You are always welcome to ask us a question in person, by phone or by email.
